Position Objectives: To oversee all functions of the spa’s marketing and managing guests flow. The Marketing Director’s objective is to achieve and exceed the set spa guest flow budget by developing marketing strategies resulting in driving traffic to the spa. In addition the Marketing director’s objective is to uphold the spa’s image and develop effective marketing material to insure overall spa marketing success!

Position Activities and Responsibilities:

Marketing Plan

  • Conduct a marketing S.W.O.T. analysis
  • Identify the target market
  • Set a guest flow target by day, week, month and year
  • Develop an annual marketing plan
  • Identify the marketing mix
  • Create marketing material
  • Develop an annual marketing calendar
  • Develop a media kit
  • Performance measurements

Marketing Financials

  • Set an overall marketing budget
  • Set a budget by marketing mix
  • Negotiate and execute marketing contracts
  • Budget for printed material
  • Track marketing expenses actual vs. budget

Marketing Communication

  • Communicate plan with spa director
  • Inform the spa team of monthly marketing strategies
  • Educate the team on how to present promotions and specials
  • Act as the spa’s spokes person

Marketing Relations

  • Communicate and build relations with all department leaders
  • Build community relations
  • Business to business relations and strategies

Marketing Functions

  • Plan promotions
  • Plan and host spa events
  • Manage website
  • Manage e-marketing – e-newsletter
  • Identify menu distribution channels
  • Develop in-spa marketing displays
  • Develop a referral program
