Hi, I’m Jennifer but most call me JJ! I’m 36 years young, and my heart is bursting with gratitude as I step into the light work I’ve been called to do. This journey has been three years in the making— filled with prayer, waiting, and more prayer. When the clarity finally “landed,” I knew that breath work would become my mission for 2025 and beyond.

My deepest passion is creating a safe, welcoming space for healing. Whether you’re someone completely new to this community or already familiar with breath work, my goal is to help you ascend , let go of limiting thought patterns release the paralysis of anxiety and depression, and break free from generational traumas . With every breath, we can create freedom, peace, and a renewed sense of self.

I bring a lot of love (and a little fun!) to everything I do. I’m a certified personal trainer, Reiki Level 1 & 2 certified, massage therapist, Thai bodyworker, and reflexologist. I’ve spent seven beautiful years as a private chef and now focus on breath work retreats and world-traveling experiences through MJ Wellness Retreats, a new venture with my amazing husband.

Outside of this work, I’m a proud mom of two incredible kids who inspire me every day. Our family also includes a 5-pd ball of fluff and joy, Lula  our Maltipoo, who sometimes joins me in facilitation sessions. Her purpose? To bring as much happiness to others as possible.

frequently asked questions

What should I wear?

Recommend bringing comfortable clothes. We will be sitting and lying during most of the breath work.

Do I need to bring anything?

The following things will make your experience most comfortable: yoga mat, blanket, eye pillow, water bottle, journal for writing, pen, chapstick, pillow and anything else that will make you feel comfortable.

Is there an age limit?

13 years and older is recommended. Provided the conversation and immense relaxation felt during breath work kids under the age of 13 may fall asleep or not have the ability to understand the share aspect after sessions. In any case, if your daughter is of the age to understand and participate fully she may come.

Is this refundable?

I require a non-refundable fee to secure your spot at the retreat. However, if you cannot attend the retreat due to unforeseen circumstances, I offer a voucher for a future event of equal value. This voucher is transferable, so you can give it to a friend or family member if you cannot attend.

Some women may be hesitant to attend a women's circles because they fear being judged or criticized by other women. However, I believe in creating a safe and supportive space where women can share their thoughts, feelings, and experiences without fear of judgment or criticism. Consider it a NO- JUDGEMENT ZONE.

Opening up and sharing with others can be a scary and vulnerable experience, especially if you're not used to doing so. I assure you as the facilitator of this AWAKEN Retreat a lot of thought has gone into creating a supportive and nurturing environment where you can feel comfortable being yourself and sharing as much or as little as you like.
